Bells Elementary School fourth-grade teacher James Cho and Wedgwood Elementary School fifth-grade teacher Donna McGough will team to present “Infusing Literacy and Technology into Social Studies” at the New Jersey Council for the Social Studies’ annual conference on Oct. 23 at Rutgers University.

Their workshop will teach participants, fellow teachers in grades four through eight, how to infuse technology into a social studies lesson seamlessly to enhance instruction and learning. The two will review interdisciplinary strategies and activities and will introduce the practical tools of “Blendspace” for informal assessments, “Emaze” for presentations, “Edpuzzle” for video presentations and “Todaysmeet” for interactive discussions.

Cho, for the 2014–15 school year, and McGough, for the 2015–16 school year, have both been honored as Teachers of the Year in their respective schools.
