Sixth Grade Vaccinations in Burlington Township School District

The N.J. Department of Health and Senior Services requires vaccinations for students entering Grade 6.

This is to inform you that the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) requires the following vaccinations for all students entering Grade 6 in September:

Every child entering grade six on or after September 1st must receive one (1) dose of Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Acellular Pertussis) given no earlier than his/her 10th birthday.

Every child entering or attending Grade 6 on or after September 1st, must receive one (1) dose of a meningococcal vaccine after his/her 11th birthday.

Students must provide documentation of these immunizations by the beginning of school by September 7, 2017. The Middle School nurse will be at 6th Grade Orientation if you would like to drop off the vaccination records. If you have any questions, please contact the Middle School nurse.

Children that receive a Td booster dose less that five (5) years prior to September 7th are not required to receive a Tdap dose until five (5) years after the last DTP/Dtap or Td dose.
