Learn about home pickling at the library event on Aug. 10
Are you curious about getting started with home pickling, but don’t know where to start?
Join cookbook author and blogger Marisa McClellan for an introduction to homemade pickles at the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library on Thursday, August 10, at 7 p.m.
Learn how to make quick pickles for the fridge, start a batch of fermented deli pickles and how to use the boiling water bath method for safe, shelf-stable preservation.
McClellan is the author of three canning and preserving books and has taught canning and preserving for nearly a decade. Her books will be available for purchase at the end of the workshop.
This program is open to everyone. Advance online or phone registration is required. Please visit www.hegganlibrary.org, or call the library at (856) 589–3334, to reserve your spot.
The Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library is located at 606 Delsea Drive in Washington Township.
