Community comes together for the Pine Barrens Festival

Tabernacle’s Holy Eucharist Church held its 29th annual Pine Barrens Festival last week to celebrate the church and the communities of Tabernacle, Shamong, Indian Mills, Medford, Medford Lakes, Vincetown, Southampton and Chatsworth Woodland.

“It is something that the church really enjoys very much,” Holy Eucharist Pastor Andrew Jamieson said. “It brings the community together — not only the Holy Eucharist community — but it brings the larger community together to experience a great night of fun and food and entertainment.”

Medford Township Council seeking residents to serve on the Environmental Affairs Advisory Committee

The Township Council is extending an open invitation to residents interested in serving on the Township’s Environmental Affairs Advisory Committee (EAAC). Two vacancies have occurred due to the resignation of current members. More information about Board service can be found on the Boards & Committees Page of the Township website at www.medfordtownship.com. (Link is on the Home Page)

Residents interested in an appointment to the EAAC shall complete the Application for Appointment to Citizen Advisory Boards that can be found on the above website or in the Municipal Building at 17 North Main Street. This completed application, along with a brief cover letter and/or statement of qualifications to serve, must be submitted to the attention of Patricia Rackison, Manager’s Office, 17 North Main Street, Medford, New Jersey or by e-mail to prackison@medfordtownship.com. Applications should be received no later than Friday, August 11, 2017.

The 2017 November Annual School Election will be held Nov. 7, 2017. The deadline for school board candidates to submit nominating petitions to their county clerk is 4 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017.
