Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio Announces County Healthcare Industry Career Fair

“The Freeholder Board is proud utilize the County’s Workforce Development Institute to once again provide residents with the opportunity to meet with local employers,” said Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio.

Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio announced recently that the Freeholder Board will be partnering with their Workforce Development Institute to host a Healthcare Industry Career Fair on Tuesday, July 18. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kennedy Center located at 429 John F. Kennedy Way in Willingboro.

“The Freeholder Board is proud utilize the County’s Workforce Development Institute to once again provide residents with the opportunity to meet with local employers,” said Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio. “Job seekers can meet with employers to begin building a network in the healthcare industry and are encouraged to bring copies of their resume and prepare for interviews.”

Companies that have attended the Healthcare Industry Career Fair include:

· Federal Bureau of Prisons

· Friends of Cyrus

· Hampton Behavioral Health Center

· Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services

· Rowan College at Burlington County

· St. Francis Medical Center

· SunMED Medical Systems

· The Pines at Whiting

“The healthcare industry continues to grow and so does the need for skilled employees,” added Garganio. “According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 19 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.3 million new jobs. Healthcare occupations will add more jobs than any other group of occupations and we are hosting this fair to link our residents with local employers in this growing field.”

“Helping our residents find good paying jobs and providing them with career development opportunities is one of our top priorities. This job fair will do just that and we encourage anyone looking to further their career in the healthcare industry to attend the job fair,” concluded Garganio.
