Evesham Police recover loaded handgun and 263 bags of heroin during drug investigation

On July 18, Evesham Police and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the illegal sale of heroin in Evesham Township.

On July 18, members of the Evesham Police Investigative Unit and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a proactive narcotics investigation into the illegal sale of heroin in Evesham Township.

According to police, the investigation led to the arrest of two males, one from Clementon, and the other from Randolph, Mass.

Police say the two were stopped while operating a vehicle in an Evesham business parking lot on Route 73.

As a result of the stop, police say a search warrant was obtained, and during the execution of the warrant, police found and seized 263 bags of heroin, a loaded .357 caliber handgun, marijuana, $700 in cash, along with a 2015 Nissan Altima vehicle.

Arrested:

A male, age 27, of Clementon, was charged with second-degree distribution of heroin, fourth-degree distribution of marijuana, third-degree possession of heroin, a disorderly persons offense for possession of marijuana, second-degree possession of a firearm by certain persons, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and second-degree possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.

A male, age 26, of Randolph, Mass., was charged with second-degree distribution of heroin, fourth-degree distribution of marijuana, third-degree possession of heroin, a disorderly persons offense for possession of marijuana, second-degree possession of a firearm by certain persons, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and second-degree possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
