Peaches for pantries

The annual Peach Festival on Friday, Aug. 18 at the Moorestown First United Methodist Church will benefit local food pantries.

Fresh peaches, homemade baked goods and ice cream will be featured at the annual Peach Festival on Friday, Aug. 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Moorestown First United Methodist Church.

Hot dogs, hamburgers and pork roll and cheese sandwiches will be provided. There is no charge, but there will be a donation bag for the food bank. Live music will be played in the courtyard.

Children’s activities will include a giant slide, face painting and games.

The Peach Festival supports local food pantries. The need for food has reached new highs at three local food pantries: Moorestown Ministerium (St. Matthew Lutheran), Bethel AME and First Baptist. Attendees are asked to please contribute to these pantries by bringing a can of food to the Peach Festival.

First United Methodist Church is located at the corner of Pleasant Valley and Camden Avenues in Moorestown. Tickets are $5 per person, $15 per family, and free for children under five. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the church office or at the festival.
