Camden man charged with criminal mischief after damaging inside of Mount Laurel Police vehicle

The following information comes from the Mt. Laurel Police Department. All persons are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law:

According to the Mt. Laurel Police Department, at 9:53 a.m. on July 5, Mt. Laurel Police took custody of a male from another law enforcement agency for an outstanding warrant.

During transport to the Burlington County Jail, police say the male, age 28, of Camden, was belligerent to the officers. In his belligerence, police say the male damaged the Mt. Laurel Police vehicle police in which police were transporting him.

According to police, the male damaged the vehicle by kicking the inside passenger compartment of the vehicle.

In addition to his arrest on the outstanding warrant, police say the male was also charged with criminal mischief when committed to the Burlington County Jail.

Between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. on July 5, someone broke the windshield of a vehicle parked at Bertucci’s Restaurant, on Nixon Drive with a landscaping rock.

At 2:25 a.m. on July 6, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Route 73 near Atrium Way. Officers arrested a female, age 45, of Camden. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

At 11:34 p.m. on July 5, Mt. Laurel Police responded to Mitten Lane for the report of a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation, officers arrested a male, age 22, of Pennnsauken. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

Between June 29 and July 5, someone forced entry to a locked work van that was parked on Union Mill Road near Danebridge Drive. Tools were stolen.

Between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. on July 4, someone stole wedding gifts from an unlocked vehicle parked at the Ramblewood Country Club.

Sometime between June 30 and July 3, a vehicle parked on the 4400 block of Aberdeen Drive was purposely scratched.

At 6:30 p.m. on July 3, an employee at the Lukoil on Route 73 reported a driver in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee received $30 worth of gas and left without paying.

At 3:06 p.m. on July3, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near I295. During the stop, officers arrested a male, age 26, of Maple Shade, after he provided a false identity to an officer. He was also found in possession of fictitious identifications. He was charged with possession of false government documents and hindering his own apprehension. He was released pending a court hearing.

At 2:49 a.m. on July 3, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Fellowship Road. During the stop, officers arrested a male, age 23, of New Brunswick. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

At 1:50 a.m. on July 3, Mt. Laurel Police investigated suspicious activity at a motel on Fellowship Road. As a result of the investigation officers arrested a female, age 19, of Deltona, Fla. and a male, age 31, of Byhalia, Miss. Both were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

At 7:37 p.m. on July 2, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Sunburst Lane near Bishops Gate Boulevard. During the stop, officers arrested a male, age 30, of Willingboro, after he provided a false identity to an officer. The male was attempting to avoid being arrested for multiple warrants. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension and turned over to another agency for the warrants.

At 7:36 p.m. on July 1, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a vehicle that drove into a ditch. The investigation led to the arrest of a male, age 26, of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

During the overnight hours of June 30 into July 1, someone purposely scratched a vehicle parked at a hotel on Century Parkway.

At 2:07 a.m. on July 1, Mt. Laurel Police located a man sleeping in a car at the traffic light on Marter Avenue at Route 38. During the investigation, officers arrested a male, age 23, of Moorestown. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

At 2:12 p.m. on June 30, someone stole a tip jar from the counter of Rita’s Italian Ice, on Route 38.
