Letter to the Editor: Writer impressed by the Osage School

Resident Howard Margolis shares thoughts on ‘superb quality of teachers and support staff’

Since 1974, I formally observed and evaluated dozens of student programs in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and other states. What I’ve never observed is a happier and more caring school than Osage.

As a grandparent who has often been at Osage, I’ve been impressed by the superb quality of teachers and support staff. Unlike many schools — private, parochial and public — the teachers I’ve seen at Osage have successfully supported and fueled children’s curiosity, motivation, and independent work habits, three essentials for lifetime success.

Without excellent leadership and support at the school and central office levels, none of this could happen.
