The South Jersey-based Pris-Zippity Fund, managed through the Kennedy Health Care Foundation, recently presented 100 custom-made sweatshirts to patients of the Kennedy Dialysis Center in Voorhees.

Founded in 2015 by Washington Township, NJ, resident Phyllis White — who witnessed how the cold had impacted her late sister, Priscilla McClure, during her dialysis treatments — Pris-Zippity has donated more than 200 sweatshirts to Kennedy dialysis patients since then. Pris-Zippity sweatshirts are designed to allow port access during treatment by way of zippers, which enables dialysis patients to stay warm.

White, her brother-in-law Craig McClure, also of Washington Township, and several close friends delivered the first 100 of the 400 sweatshirts purchased and customized from money raised during #GivingTuesday — the global day of giving back — efforts this past November.
