Operation Yellow Ribbon of SJ in running to win $50,000 in Wawa Foundation Hero Award contest

Supporters of OYRSJ can help vote for the group by visiting www.thewawafoundation.org and voting.

​Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey has announced that the charity is one of four finalists for this year’s Wawa Foundation Hero Award contest.

According to OYRSJ officials, the group has a one in four chance of winning $50,000 to help the group in its mission of providing morale boosting care packages to men and women of the U.S. Military deployed to the Middle East.

Supporters of OYRSJ can help vote for the group by visiting https://www.thewawafoundation.org/hero-award/ and voting.

Those with OYRSJ also ask supporters to spread the word of OYRSJ’s opportunity and ask others to also vote for OYRSJ in the contest.

Supporters can visit ORYSJ’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/OYRSJ/ and share the post announcing the Wawa Foundation Hero Award contest.

Voting for the contested is limited to once per email address. Supporteres can vote through June 29.

The Wawa Foundation Hero Award will be announced on Independence Day morning as part of a ceremony on July 4 in front of Independence Hall.

The recipient of The Wawa Foundation Hero Award will receive a $50,000 grant and the three runners up will receive $10,000 each.
