Cherry Hill West Class of 2017 receives diplomas at commencement

More than 300 seniors participated in commencement ceremonies at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon.

Class was dismissed one last time for the Cherry Hill High School West class of 2017 on Thursday afternoon. Commencement ceremonies were held for the graduates at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.

The event began with Cherry Hill West teachers congratulating the students as they marched in. The graduation ceremony featured a number of student speakers, including Aaditi Tamhankar, Abigail Spencer, NHS president Emily Rose, Victoria Injaian and Maggie McCurdy.

Cherry Hill West principal Kwame Morton also talked to the audience about the class of 2017’s accomplishments prior to the distribution of diplomas. Students sang the alma mater and threw their caps into the air as the ceremony concluded.
