The event features family-fun activities, living history theater, music, health screenings, vendors, food and more.
On June 17, from noon to 4 p.m., locals will host a Juneteenth Celebration to to commemorate abolition of slavery in the United States.
The event will take place at 316 Elbo Lane near the grounds of Jacob’s Chapel AME Church.
This free indoor and outdoor event will celebrating this significant
date in black history with family-fun activities, living history theater, music, health screenings, vendors, food and more.
This event is sponsored by The Historic Underground Railroad Museum of Burlington County, the Southern Burlington County NAACP, the Dr. James Still Historic Office Site & Education Center and Jacob’s Chapel AME Church.
A historic designation marker will also be erected before the celebrations.
