Shawnee students travel to Make-A-Wish Castle to donate $10,000 raised from fundraising events

17 current students and four former students made the trip.

Student members of the Shawnee Kids for Wish Kids club traveled to the Make-A-Wish NJ castle in Monroe Township to make a donation that resulted from many fundraisers throughout the year. The $10,000 donation is the highest amount donated by a student group in the state of NJ.

The donation will allow one complete wish to be granted to a child who has been diagnosed with a life threatening illness and their family.

While at the castle, the students presented their check, posed for pictures and then toured the castle and were shown just how an ideal wish is granted. It is a magical experience!
