MHS freshman to play in Futures All American softball games

This selection has earned Julianna LaRusso a roster position on the Futures All American Team in her age group.

Julianna LaRusso has been named to play in the Futures All American softball games representing the North East Region of the United States. She recently went to Harrison City, PA. where the USSSA and the USA Elite Select Futures program conducted try outs.

This selection has earned LaRusso a roster position on the Futures All American Team in her age group. The culminating event will be a 16 team tournament playing the final at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Orlando, Florida, July 31 through August 5.

LaRusso, having the distinction of being chosen as a “direct select,” also receives an automatic invitation to Baton Rouge, LA. to compete August 18–20 against the other direct select players and last year’s First Team All Americans. From this National Camp, the “select 30” players in her age group are chosen and an All American First and Second team named.

LaRusso is a freshman at Moorestown High School and plays softball. She also plays for the South Jersey Gators under the guidance of Coach Brian Gorman. For the past eight years, LaRusso has been studying piano under the tutelage of Andrea Schied of Moorestown. She aspires to play college softball while earning her degree.
