Tutoring Club of Cherry Hill/Voorhees raises $500 during practice SAT and ACT session

Tutoring Club donate the funds to Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club’s “For The Kids” Fund.

Tutoring Club of Cherry Hill/Voorhees held full-length practice SAT and ACT exams as a fundraiser benefiting Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club’s “For The Kids” Fund.

The cost of the test for each student attending was $40, with the total amount raised $500. Pictured at a recent VBRC meeting at Voorhees Diner is Alan Cohen, Tutoring Club owner along with VBRC Members.

VBRC’s “For the Kids” Fund supports Voorhees children who do not have enough to eat while at school. Food insecurity exists in Voorhees among students in all of our elementary schools. A seemingly small thing like a healthy snack at school has an out-sized impact on the health and learning ability of children. VBRC’s “For the Kids” Fund’s first-year goal is to conduct a limited participation pilot program that will feed students at each of the four elementary schools in Voorhees.
