Former Berlin Boro Mayor John Armano receives prestigious award from NJ Conference of Mayors

Mayor Emeritus John Armano of Berlin Boro was presented with the Former Mayor of the Year Award on Thursday, April 27

Mayor Emeritus John Armano of Berlin Boro was presented with the Former Mayor of the Year Award by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors at its annual Spring Conference. The presentation was made at the group’s Legislative Reception and Awards ceremony on Thursday, April 27.

Armano served as mayor for eight years from 2008 to 2015 after serving on the Boro Council for six years.

He also served as president of the Camden County Mayors Association in 2012 and was honored by that group as the Camden County Mayor of the Year that same year.

He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors for four years and is currently an active member of the NJCM’s Mayor Emeritus Advisory Board.

Armano is married to his wife Micki and the couple has three children and nine grandchildren. He is retired from his position as Vice President of Marketing for Johnson and Towers.
