Mt. Laurel mayor presents proclamation to Mt. Laurel Center for National Nursing Home Week

The mayor encouraged the staff to continue to keep supporting and caring for the senior population.

On Monday, May 15, Mt. Laurel Township Mayor Dennis Riley presented a proclamation to the Mt. Laurel Center on Church Road for National Nursing Home Week.

According to the center, Riley read touching language to the staff from encouraging the staff to continue to keep supporting and caring for the senior population, especially to those in need of skilled-nursing care.

“This is a great way to get into this year’s theme of ‘Spirit of America,’” said Agnes Tan, recreation director at Mt. Laurel Center. “Every year we look forward to National Nursing Home Week and give the seniors and their families the love and how we feel as a center serving them.”

Activities scheduled for week at the center included a visit from Col. Al Bancroft to speak about freedom to the residents today, a talent show and a BBQ.
