Four members of Haddonfield’s Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Troop 65 have received the honor of Eagle Scout, which is the highest achievement in the BSA program. Haddonfield United Methodist Church, sponsors of BSA Troop 65 of Haddonfield, held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Nicholas Bateman, Jack Grozier, Brandon Quanci and Sam Rivard.

Part of their trail to Eagle Rank was to initiate, plan and execute a service project that would benefit the community. Both Bateman and Rivard had projects that involved the betterment of the Haddonfield Memorial High School field. The boys created an end zone garden with a raised Bulldawg statue and rebuilt an upgrade to the announcer booth, including new sliding windows and waterproofing.

Quanci’s project involved his local church — the Lutheran Church of our Savior. He removed an antiquated kitchenette then designed and installed new cabinetry, sink and serving counter. Grozier’s project centered around the Crows Woods gardeners. He designed and built a free standing roofed tool shed for the gardeners.

The four scouts were honored in a ceremony on April 30 at Haddonfield United Methodist Church.
