Award presentation tied in with National Nurses Week

Kennedy Health Nursing Department associates were awarded 2017 Kennedy “Power of One” Nursing Awards for their contributions to patient care and to Kennedy’s mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care.

Awards were presented during National Nurses Week in three categories: for clinical associates, clinical nurses and a system-wide selected nurse leader, or leaders.

The 2017 Kennedy Health “Power of One” award winners from Washington Township were: Thorofare resident Lauren Kreusser, surgical ICU technician at Kennedy University Hospital; Sewell resident Kathy Caruso, radiation/oncology supervisor; Clementon resident Sharon Martinez, T-1 unit secretary at the Kennedy Health Care Center; Sewell resident Christina Goehringer, medical ICU at Kennedy University Hospital; Sewell resident Maria Gagliardi, Kennedy Surgery Center; and Franklinville resident Cassie Aldrich, unit manager at Kennedy Health Care Center.

The winners — nominated by Kennedy associates and selected by a committee made up of last year’s award recipients and the Clinical Nurse Recognition Committee — each received an engraved trophy, lobby plaque and a plaque presented to their department/unit for display. The announcement of the “Power of One” winners coincided with Kennedy’s celebrations for National Nurses Week, May 8 through 12.

2017 marked the seventh year that the “Power of One” awards have been presented at Kennedy Health.
