Three month investigation results in one arrest as neighborhood drug house is dismantled

During the investigation, over five ounces of cocaine, fifteen ounces of marijuana, an amount of ecstasy pills (MDMA), one revolver style handgun, narcotics packaging materials and $3,454.00 of cash was recovered

A three month investigation resulted in the arrest of a 25 year old residet of Clementon Borough. The Gloucester Township Police Department conducted a narcotics investigation along with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Suburban Narcotics Task Force. A search warrant was executed by detectives from the Gloucester Township Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, the Gloucester Township Police Special Response Team (SWAT), Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Suburban Narcotics Task Force and Officers from the Clementon Borough Police Department in the early morning of May 5, 2017.

During the investigation, over five ounces of cocaine, fifteen ounces of marijuana, an amount of ecstasy pills (MDMA), one revolver style handgun, narcotics packaging materials and $3,454.00 of cash was recovered. Additionally, the investigation found that the subject illegally sold narcotics in Gloucester Township.

This latest effort serves as another example of the Gloucester Township Police Departments 3rd Gear Policing Model involving the collective approach of arrest, prevention and intervention to address the national problem of drug abuse — even more specifically the use of cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana. The Gloucester Township Police Department has implemented a number of initiatives and programs to combat the abuse of dangerous narcotics. “It is because of these enforcement efforts and the unique prevention and intervention programs associated with our 3rd Gear Policing Model that overall crime has fallen 41% in Gloucester Township from 2010–2016,” said Chief Harry Earle.
