Parent education program on substance abuse scheduled for tonight

The Cherry Hill Alliance on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and Cherry Hill Police Department are hosting the event at Beck Middle School. The presentation begins at 7 p.m.

The Cherry Hill Alliance on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and Cherry Hill Police Department are hosting a parent education night presentation tonight at Beck middle School beginning at 7 p.m.

The program, entitled “Substance Abuse: How to Keep Your Child Safe,” is free and open to all parents in the community. The presenter is William J. Lynch, Jr., a clinical staff pharmacist at Kennedy University Hospital, adjunct faculty at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine and a Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force member. He will talk about current substances of abuse and drug trends in the region, strategies parents can use to keep their children safe and talking point to discuss drugs and drug abuse with children.

Parents are welcome to ask questions at the event. Light refreshments will be served
