Cinnaminson welcomes two new police officers

The Cinnaminson Township Police Department welcomed two new officers at last week’s Township Committee meeting.

Public Safety Director Mickey King explained it is tradition for the department to bring in new officers for introduction to committee and residents before they attend the police academy, then swear them in after they graduate the academy.

A small group of Eleanor Rush Intermediate School fifth graders shows up to school an hour early every Wednesday to practice yoga with basic skills teacher Hollie Helman.

Helman read an article in September with her basic skills reading class about how students across the country are improving academically through yoga and mindfulness. As part of the lesson, the class practiced yoga for a few minutes, but that wasn’t enough for it.

Cinnaminson High School students selected for All-State Chorus

Several Cinnaminson High School students were selected for the All-State Chorus, Cinnaminson Township Public Schools announced via Facebook. The competitive audition process includes hundreds of students from all over the state.
