Medford Police Department charged a Shamong man with lewdness

Alleged incidents date back to December 2016

The Medford Police Department announced that they had charged a 29-year-old Shamong resident with lewdness. The incidents began back in December 2016, where the Medford Township Police began an investigation of several reports of lewdness within the township as well as in Evesham Township. In each of the incidents, the reporting persons advised that a large white male exited a black Jeep while naked. Another incident was reported Monday, May 1, in the Tamarac neighborhood. The reporting person advised that a large white male exited a black Honda Civic while naked.

The investigation, conducted by the Medford Township Police, identified the subject as the 29-year-old man, from Shamong. On Tuesday, May 2, the man admitted to each of the incidents in Medford and Evesham. He was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple counts of lewdness. He was then turned over to Evesham Township Police at the conclusion of the investigation.
