School district to hold annual blood drive May 11

The district will be teaming with the Penn-Jersey region of the American Red Cross

The Washington Township Public School District will again team with the Penn-Jersey region of the American Red Cross for a blood drive on Thursday, May 11, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Eileen Abbott Central Administration Building, located at 206 East Holly Avenue, Sewell.

In addition to the collection of much-needed whole blood donations, the Red Cross will have a double-red cell donation machine on site, allowing certain donors to safely donate two units of red cells during one appointment as an automated donation process.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, including more than one million new cancer patients who often need blood during their chemotherapy treatments.

To schedule your 15-minute appointment, please contact Cheryl Jones at (856) 589–6644, ext. 6607, or visit the online scheduler at www.redcrossblood.org/ (sponsor code: Washington Township School).

The need is constant. The gratification is instant. Give Blood.
