The Cherokee High School Spring Craft Show is coming up, along with the Cherokee High School Racing Associations Spring Car Show, and the township is starting it’s own email newsletter to help keep residents more informed of township happenings. Annual Cherokee Spring Craft Show fundraiser set for April 29

Locals will soon have the chance to buy crafts for their homes while also supporting academics at Cherokee High School with the fourth annual Cherokee Spring Craft Show. Craft fans can put their money toward crafts and a good cause by visiting Cherokee on April 29 for a wide array of handcrafted items from local artisans such as quilts, pillows, home décor, original art, wreaths, ceramics, clothing, accessories, jewelry, stained glass, soaps and more.

Cherokee High School Racing Association to host Spring Fling car show on April 30

Automobile enthusiasts might want to mark their calendars and start their engines. On Sunday, April 30, the Cherokee High School Racing Association will host its inaugural “Spring Fling” car show at Cherokee, and the Racing Association is looking for spectators and entrants. Those looking to enter a car in the show can do so on the day of the event for a registration fee of $10.

Evesham Township set to launch new email newsletter with ‘Everyday Evesham’

Evesham Township is taking another step to improve communication with residents with the introduction of its email newsletter “Everyday Evesham.” Township officials say the newsletter will allow residents yet another avenue to stay updated on the township’s happenings and events, with the first edition set to launch soon. Residents interested in receiving the “Everyday Evesham” newsletter should visit www.evesham-nj.org and click the red button on the left side of the website.

Evesham Police arrest man caught trying to sell leaf blower on Craigslist and arrest man for breaking into vehicles in movie theater parking lot

This week police arrested a 50-year-old township man on burglary and theft charges after officers using Craigslist to track down a leaf blower he had stolen from a shed in town. Michael O’Donnell Sr., age 50, of Marlton, was charged with third-degree burglary and theft, along with a disorderly persons offense for possession of drug paraphernalia.

This week Evesham Police also arrested a man for breaking into vehicles in movie theater parking lot. On April 9 at 9:25 p.m., the Evesham Police Department responded to the AMC parking lot, 800 N. Route 73, for a report of a male in pajama pants breaking into cars. Michael Cahill, age 37, of Marlton, was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and theft. He was released on his own recognizance.

Migrant Worker Outreach group requests clothing and more for migrant workers this summer

Volunteers with Migrant Worker Outreach (MWO) are once again looking for clothing and other requested items to help welcome migrant workers and their families to the South Jersey area as they arrive for the blueberry harvest in June and July. Those interested in donating can call(609) 969–2480 to set up an appointment to bring in donations on the following Saturdays at select sites throughout the area.
