Burlington County Footlighters is holding the “Raise the Roof” fundraiser cabaret on April 22, 2017 to replace the roof of the theater.
Burlington County Footlighters was founded in 1938 and currently resides in the historical Phillips School which was constructed as a one-room school house for African-Americans. The building at 808 Pomona Road in Cinnaminson was built in the 1890s and the community theatre group has resided there since 1983.
Last year, the “Raise the Roof” fundraiser cabaret was a sold-out performance. This year, the group is planning to have another successful event. Performers will be singing songs from a variety of musicals such as “Rent,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Les Miserables,” “Spelling Bee” and “Hamilton.” They are also raffling four one-day park hopper passes to Disney.
