An adult female and one juvenile were inside the residence. The Gloucester Township Police Department’s Juvenile Family Services Bureau, which includes a specially trained detective and a licensed clinical social worker, facilitated counseling services to the female and juvenile child. The New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency were notified as well and did assist with the investigation. The woman was released without charges.

Immediately following the execution of the search warrant and arrests, officers of the Gloucester Township Police Community Relations Bureau went door to door to problem solve with this community. These restorative community policing efforts encouraged residents to take back this typically peaceful neighborhood, and assist the Gloucester Township Police Department with keeping our community safe.

The Gloucester Township Police Department Community Services Division will respond to enforce property management codes at the residence.

These restorative community policing efforts encouraged residents to take back their community, and assist the Gloucester Township Police Department with keeping our community safe. These continued Gloucester Township police community “Third Gear Policing” initiatives and law enforcement partnerships are part of the efforts to address the national problem of drug abuse, more specifically heroin and prescription pills. Prescription pills are a highly addictive drug where addiction use has long been associated with crime because many addicted people turn to theft, prostitution, and various other criminal activities to obtain money to buy the drug. The Gloucester Township Police Department has implemented a number of initiatives and programs to combat this growing abuse of heroin which recently led to reported fatal overdoses. If you know someone who is suffering from addiction, you are encouraged to call the Gloucester Township SAVE Advocate at 856–302–7051, to get help.

The arrest of these individuals is another example of the enforcement campaigns targeting those who illegally distribute narcotics in Gloucester Township. The Gloucester Township Police Department will continue to attack, with the assistance of local, state, and federal partnerships, the abuse and sale of these highly addictive narcotics in our community.

All subjects below were provided information and resources about the Gloucester Township Project SAVE Advocate program to help them battle their addiction.
