The Mt. Laurel area could receive one to two inches of rain on Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch to take effect on Thursday morning at 8 a.m. The watch will continue until Friday afternoon at 2Â p.m.

Rivers and streams in the area are already running high from last week’s rain.
The rain could result in some flooding along roadways and poor drainage areas. There is the possibility of flash flooding in isolated areas on Thursday.
Some small streams and creeks may overflow their banks late on Thursday. Minor to moderate flooding could occur on larger rivers Thursday night into Friday. The river flooding could continue into the weekend.
