Obituary: Helen E. Corbin

Helen E. Corbin passed away peacefully on March 31 at the Lutheran Crossings Home in Moorestown. She was 101 years old.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Morgan, her son Richard and all seven of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sally, her granddaughter, Sarah Dietz (Parrish), her grandson, Richard (Melissa), her granddaughter, Jessica DeBear (Bjorn), her great-grandsons, Josh Dietz (Augusta), Joe Dietz and Benjamin DeBear, her great-granddaughters, Stephanie Rose (Jason), Rachel Dietz, Hannah Corbin, Caroline Corbin and Annika DeBear, and her great-great granddaughters, Lahray Dietz, Clara Rose and Mabel Rose.

Helen was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She married at 19 and spent her life as a homemaker. Family was her greatest joy, coupled with a love for gardening, crocheting and knitting. When her husband died in 1991, Helen stayed in her home in Cherry Hill, living independently until moving to the Lutheran Home at the age of 95.

We will miss her loving spirit, her strong will, her sweet smile and twinkly blue eyes, and especially her last words each time we visited her, “May the Lord be with you.”

A private, graveside service will be held for the family only. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare Association: Animal Welfare Association (AWA), 509 Centennial Blvd, Voorhees, NJ 08043, or at www.awanj.org.
