Saving a Lenape Life

Four teachers from Cherokee High School were recognized with a proclamation for their roles in saving the life of one of their colleagues. Athletic trainers Jeff Wood and Karen Hengst, paraprofessional Gary Denelsbeck and nurse-paraprofessional Felicia Progar were all honored for their role in helping revive one of the teachers who went into cardiac arrest with a defibrillator.

The students of Shawnee TV’s Communication Technology III Class invite to community to join in the premiere of their documentaries at the high school’s Documentary Festival on Wednesday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m.

New Freedom Road closed for bridge repairs

New Freedom Road will be closed to through traffic between Chairville Road and Eayrestown Road on or about Monday, March 13 after 9 a.m. It is anticipated that the roadway will be reopened on or about Friday, March 31, weather dependent.
