Services are March 19 at Christ the King RC Church
Spencer Kohler Reed, a 27-year-old Philadelphia resident, passed away on March 14. He was formerly of Haddonfield.
He was the beloved son of John D. and Susan (nee Kohler) of Haddonfield; loving brother of Tyler and Gavin; cherished grandson of Lurana Reed; adored nephew of Ted (Connie) Reed, Dianne (Eric) Severance and Amy (Jerre) Feagin and their families, the Overbeck family (John, Jennifer, Jon, Katie, Johnny O); and Gerd (Annette) Schwandner, and beloved godson of Patricia O’Neal.
Spencer, a Haddonfield Memorial High School graduate Class of ’07, loved being a teammate on state championship teams for both soccer and basketball and then continued his basketball career at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He used his mathematics degree to begin a successful career in the finance industry.
Spencer will forever be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who would stop at nothing to make people happy or to help a friend.
Spencer’s family will receive friends on Sunday, March 19, 3–5:45 p.m., at Christ the King RC Church, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, where his funeral mass will follow at 6 p.m. Interment is private.
