The Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH) and its agency of record, Suasion Communications Group, received a 2017 New Jersey Tourism Excellence Award from the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association (NJTIA) at this year’s New Jersey Conference on Tourism March 9.

Downtown Haddonfield’s 2016 public relations campaign, executed by Suasion Communications Group in partnership with the PfH, positioned Haddonfield as the premier Downtown shopping, dining and professional services destination in the Delaware Valley. The primary focus of the campaign was to promote the PfH’s Downtown businesses, events and professional services, along with promoting the successes of the PfH.

“The Downtown Haddonfield experience takes you inside charming shops and well-preserved Colonial style buildings, making for an eclectic destination to shop, dine and visit time and time again,” said Mayor Jeff Kasko.

Most important to the Downtown, its shop owners and the municipality as a whole was the campaign’s ability to increase foot traffic to Haddonfield. Increased awareness via pre-event news coverage about the Haddonfield ‘Night Market’ Food Truck event, which took place on a weekday in the chillier months of September and November, droves of visitors to the Downtown to experience the event, shop and enjoy. Similar successes were experienced during the Downtown’s ‘Haddonfield Uncorked’ event, a Fox 29 ‘Good Day Drives You’ LIVE Morning Show and a visit from the Huffington Post showcasing the Downtown. Events and media placements such as these, appealing to distinct audiences, meant that visitors of all ages, interests and tastes were attracted to the Downtown.

“We are so thrilled to be accepting this NJTIA Tourism Excellence award,” said Susan Hodges, Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH) Chair. “The PfH and Suasion worked collaboratively to position our Downtown as a vibrant entertainment, shopping and dining destination,” she added.

The Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH) is the management corporation for Downtown Haddonfield’s Business Improvement District. The mission of PfH is to provide leadership that produces the best Downtown by creating and promoting a superior business mix and enhancing the image of Haddonfield in the marketplace. PfH offers grant programs to attract retailers and restaurants, sponsors business networking events, as well as maintains and promotes the www.DowntownHaddonfield.com website, actively markets the Downtown, and organizes special events.

“We are honored to work with the PfH team to promote this beautiful Downtown,” said Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt, President of Suasion Communications Group. “This esteemed award validates our ongoing efforts and successes,” she added.
