Cherokee High School student finalist for ‘Magnificent Manager Award’ through Varsity Brands

Cherokee High School Senior Matthew Chaffee was recently chosen as a national finalist for the “Magnificent Manager Award.”

Cherokee High School Senior Matthew Chaffee has been chosen as a national finalist for the “Magnificent Manager Award” through Varsity Brands for his work with Cherokee’s field hockey team. Cherokee High School Senior Matthew Chaffee was recently chosen as a national finalist for the “Magnificent Manager Award” through Varsity Brands.

According to the Varsity Bands Spirit Awards website, the criteria for the award was finding a “dedicated student who loyally and eagerly assists the athletic teams”. Students who were named finalists in all categories of the Spirit Awards were invited to attend the Varsity Brands School Spirit Awards Show at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando on May 13.

Chaffee has been the manager for the field hockey team for the past three years. He is also a member of Cherokee’s Marching Band.
