Many offices closed in Moorestown due to weather

With a state of emergency in effect in New Jersey, numerous places of business have decided to close their doors on March 14.

BREAKING: Rt. 38 closed in both directions between S. Lenola Rd. and Nixon Dr. due to wires down until further notice.

Rt. 38 is closed westbound at Nixon Dr. and eastbound at S. Lenola Rd. due to wires down across the roadway. Consider Kings Highway as an alternate route. The Police Department and Fire Department are on location assisting with traffic. PSEG & NJ DOT have been notified. Use caution if you must travel in the area.

Also, according to the PSEG Outage Map, there are now fewer than 100 customers now being affected by outages.

Trash pick-up: Trash pick-up will not take place in Moorestown today. Tuesday’s trash routes will be picked up on Wednesday this week. Wednesday’s routes will be picked up as usual. The Department of Public Works can be contacted at (856) 235–3520 with any questions.

State and county offices: All state and county offices are closed today due to weather. The Camden County Freeholder Board’s caucus meeting for tonight is cancelled and moved to Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Rutgers-Camden.

Moorestown Library: The library is closed today. It lost power due to the inclement weather.

Moorestown Township Public Schools: All Moorestown Township Public Schools are closed today. All activities taking place at school buildings, including after school and evening activities, are cancelled.

Moorestown Mall: At this time, Moorestown Mall will open 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14. Department stores, restaurants and services may vary. The mall requests that customers call their destination prior to arrival.
