Burlington County announces annual ‘Spring Job Fair’ set for March 24

Once again the event will seek to match job seekers with local employers.

Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio has announced that the Burlington County Freeholder Board will be partnering with the Workforce Development Institute to host the county’s annual “Spring Job Fair” on Friday, March 24.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kennedy Center located at 429 John F. Kennedy Way in Willingboro.

“The Freeholder Board is proud utilize the County’s Workforce Development Institute to once again provide residents of all talents and backgrounds the opportunity to meet with local employers from various fields such as health care, hospitality, retail, finance, skilled trades, transportation, technology and more,” Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio said.

Jobseekers are encouraged to attend a resume writing workshop prior to the job fair. Resumes workshops are held every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Burlington County American Job Center located at 795 Woodlane Road in Westampton.

“Helping our residents find jobs and providing them with career development opportunities is one of our top priorities. This job fair will do just that and we encourage anyone looking for full-time, part-time, summer positions or internships to attend the job fair,” Garganio said. “It is efforts like this fair that have helped us to reach the county’s lowest unemployment rate since 2007.”

Employers looking to reserve space should call (856) 222–9311 extension 2547 or visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/burlington-county-spring-job-fair-2017-registration-31756136459. Space is free, but limited. Deadline for employers to register is March 17.

“Job fairs link local businesses to qualified job seekers in the community which creates opportunities for our residents to work close to home. This not only supports our economy, it also reduces the need for residents to commute long distances and work outside of their community,” Garganio said.

Job seekers can call (609) 518–3900 to register for the job fair or visit http://www.rcbc.edu/jobfair for additional information.
