Curbside and town drop-off recycling of shredded paper has come to an end

Municipal drop-offs will no longer accept shredded paper.

Curbside and town drop-off recycling of shredded paper has come to an end. Shredded and other small bits of paper are too small for the county recycling system to sort correctly. It falls through the slots and ends up as contaminant in crushed glass or goes out on the trash conveyer.

Shredded paper can be put in household trash, brought to paper shredding events or brought to the purple shredded paper dumpster at the County Resources Recovery Complex in Mansfield. Municipal drop-offs will no longer accept shredded paper.
