Winslow Township Police Department hosting Junior Police Academies

The academies will take place in July. The purpose is to provide young citizens with an introduction to law enforcement.

The Winslow Township Police Department will be hosting two weeklong Junior Police Academies. The purpose of the Junior Police Academy is to provide young citizens with an introduction to law enforcement. Their goal is to motivate young people to be outstanding citizens and empower them to act as a positive influence in our community. It will also transform the traditional role of the police officer into a mentor and a friend, while encouraging our young citizens to be partners in building safer schools and communities.

The academies will be broken up into Tier 1 and Tier 2. In order to be eligible for Tier 2, applicants must have already completed the Tier 1 program during a previous year.
