Gloucester Township recognizes community members

African-American residents were recognized for their community service contributions in honor of Black History Month.

To celebrate Black History Month, Gloucester Township recognized African-American residents who have demonstrated significant contributions in the area of community service, personal and professional achievements, and general good deeds that have impacted favorable on Gloucester Township citizens at the council meeting on Monday, Feb. 27.

A three-member panel appointed by Mayor Dave Mayer chose the following residents to be recognized: David Honey, Kanai Dismus, Madison Allen, Renee Michel, George V. Hill III, Tony Brown Jr., Julia Robinson, Amira Guy, Donnetta Beatty and Jamayka Young.
