Man snorting Percocet pills, liquor store robbery and more in latest Mt Laurel Police Report

At 9:35 p.m. on Feb. 16, Mt. Laurel Police responded to Martin’s Liquors on Route 38 for a shoplifting report. A male suspect concealed three bottles of liquor in his coat and ran out of the store. He ran across the highway and got into a waiting silver Ford Escape.

At 10:19 a.m. on Feb. 16, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the Chick-Fil-A, on Centerton Road for an assault. The investigation revealed two subjects females got into a physical altercation. Neither party was injured nor did they want to pursue complaints.

At 9:53 a.m. on Feb. 16, a Mt. Laurel Police Officer observed a person sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of Wawa on the 1100 block of Route 73 acting suspiciously. The investigation revealed that Chester J. Lubrant III, age 51, of Mantua, was snorting crushed up Percocet pills. He was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a prescription legend drug and possession of a prescription legend drug for an unlawful purpose. He was released pending a court hearing.

At 4:29 p.m. on Feb. 15, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 38 near Ark Road. During the investigation officers arrested Lucas F. Bennett, age 20, of Medford. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

Between Feb. 12 and Feb. 13, two tires on a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Everly Court were punctured.

Between 4:30 and 6:15 a.m. on Feb. 15, three vehicles parked in the parking lot of Mt. Laurel Crossfit, 824 East Gate Drive were forcibly entered. Each vehicle had a window broken and purses stolen from inside. The purses contained wallets, credit cards, cash, and cell phones.

At 9:54 p.m. on Feb. 13, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Ark Road near Route 38. During the stop officers arrested Robert D. Beri, age 30, of Levittown, Pa. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

At 7:56 a.m. on Feb. 13, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Greentree Road. During the stop officers arrested Jakeala K. Greenlee, age 18, of Mt. Laurel. She was arrested after she provided a false name to officers in an attempt to avoid being arrested for outstanding warrants. She was charged with hindering her own apprehension and turned over to another law enforcement agency for the warrants.

Between Feb. 7 and Feb. 11, someone broke into a vacant business on the 3100 block of Route 38. Graffiti was painted on the interior walls.

Between Feb. 8 and Feb. 11, two portable toilets that were in the parking lot of a business on the 70 block of Marter Avenue were destroyed by fire.

At 12:07 a.m. on Feb. 11, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near I295. During the stop officers arrested James A. Whiting, age 37, of Philadelphia. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

At 9:12 p.m. on Feb. 10, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on the 100 block of Willow Turn for an unconscious 56-year-old male. Ms. Tina A. Banks, age 30, of Mt. Laurel was also on location. She provided officers with a false name and gave them misleading information concerning what led up to the victim’s medical condition. The officers eventually determined that the male was suffering from a heroin overdose, administered Narcan, and reversed the overdose. He was transported to a hospital for further treatment. Officers then determined Banks’ true identity and found she was wanted for a probation violation. She was arrested, charged with hindering her own apprehension and committed to the Burlington County Jail.
