Lutherans, Catholics to share Lenten suppers to discuss Protestant Reformation

The Lutheran Church of Our Savior and Christ the King Roman Catholic Church to share midweek Lenten Soup Suppers beginning March 8

The Lutheran Church of Our Savior will share midweek Lenten Soup Suppers with Christ the King Roman Catholic Church beginning Wednesday, March 8, at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall at Lutheran Church of Our Savior.

The five-week partnering will begin each week with a soup supper, followed by discussion on the book From Conflict To Communion, addressing the circumstances and responses surrounding the Protestant Reformation, and how Lutherans and Roman Catholics have worked toward unity and full communion the last 50 years. This year is the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

The second and fourth Wednesdays (March 15 and 29) will be held at Christ The King, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield. Weeks 1, 3 and 5 (March 8, March 22 and April 5) will be held at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 204 Wayne Ave., Haddonfield.
