‘Haddonfield Uncorked’ returns

Wineries will host wine tastings in shops and restaurants for a special ‘sip, sample, and shop’ downtown experience on Feb. 25

Enjoy the perfect pairing of wonderful wines and a day of great shopping amid the unique setting of Haddonfield’s boutiques and dining spots. Find special offers town wide as “Haddonfield Uncorked” takes place once again throughout Downtown Haddonfield on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 1–4 p.m. rain or shine.

Introduced in 2015, this is the fourth time this popular event will be held in Haddonfield. Haddonfield is a “dry” town by law; however, a 2014 Alcohol Management Plan for Retail Outlets prepared by the Garden State Wine Growers Association makes this unprecedented event possible. Where wine is typically unavailable, this event offers a chance to sample and purchase New Jersey wines while browsing the Downtown shops.

“The rare opportunity to enjoy wine tastings while shopping here in our Downtown obviously has great appeal,” said Partnership for Haddonfield retail recruiter Remi Fortunato, citing the tremendous success of the Downtown’s three previous “Haddonfield Uncorked” events held in February and November of 2015 and February of 2016.

Merchants along Kings Highway and side streets — which include Mechanic Street, Ellis Street, Tanner Street, Haddy Lane, Kings Court, and Haddon Avenue — invite you to explore their shops and discover special offers during this unique event.

Presently, a few shop owners in Haddonfield lease a portion of their business to one of the area’s local wine growers year-round for the sale of Jersey-grown wines by the bottle to the business’s patrons.

“This partnership with the Garden State Wine Growers Association allows our shops and restaurants to expand their clientele while broadening the avenues by which New Jersey-grown wines can be enjoyed. It’s a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved,” Fortunato added.

Below is a list of store and winery pairings. Winery representatives will be offering tastings of their wine and selling wine by the bottle at the shop they are paired with during ‘Haddonfield Uncorked’:
