Herbert E. Stevens passed away on Jan. 30 at the age of 96
Herbert E. Stevens, a longtime resident of Haddonfield, passed away on Jan. 30. He was 96.
Herbert was the loving husband of the late Suzanne (nee Lallemand) Stevens; devoted father of Elaine Stevens Ercolani (John), Patrick Stevens (Lana), and Daniel Stevens (Amy); caring grandfather of Steven and Kate Ercolani, Kelsey and Daniel Stevens and their mother Nancy Stevens, and Denise Stevens Hyland (Joe); and uncle of Philip Stevens (Maryann), Peter Stevens (Margo), and Susan Stevens Johnson.
Herbert proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a sheet metal worker for Local Union №19 in Philadelphia for many years. Additionally, in his younger years, he enjoyed coaching Little League in Haddonfield and was a member of the Haddonfield 65 Club. He loved playing golf until they had to cart him off the course well into his 80s.
Services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Herbert’s name to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Division of Plastic Surgery.
