Evesham Police use K-9 to detect narcotics during vehicle stop on Jan. 27

Police charged a duo from Minotola with third-degree possession of heroin, third-degree possession of pharmaceutical drugs and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a syringe.

The following report is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On Jan. 27 at 12:30 p.m., an Evesham police officer conducted a motor vehicle stop.

During the investigation, Evesham police K-9 Ciko was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics.

The K-9 was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle, at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car.

A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of heroin, drug paraphernalia and pharmaceutical drugs inside the vehicle.

Arrested:

Karl Hansen, age 31, of Minotola, was charged with third-degree possession of heroin, third-degree possession of pharmaceutical drugs and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a syringe. He was lodged in the Burlington County Bail with no bail.

Jaclyn Parker, age 26, of Minotola, was charged with third-degree possession of heroin, third-degree possession of pharmaceutical drugs and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a syringe. She was lodged in the Burlington County Bail with no bail.
