Cherry Hill entrepreneur rebrands public relations agency

Lisa Simon announced last week her public relations agency, Simon PR, would be renamed SPRYTE Communications.

Longtime Cherry Hill resident Lisa Simon is planning to rebrand 26-year-old Philadelphia public relations agency, Simon PR.

The agency has renamed itself SPRYTE Communications. A focus on healthcare is the inspiration for the name change, said Simon, a past president of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association and the 2010 inductee to its Hall of Fame. The firm’s reincarnation as SPRYTE Communications comes with strong positioning for healthcare communications opportunities.

“Healthcare has been a cornerstone of our business over the years including our most significant current engagements,” Simon said. “We are now leveraging this experience into a new specialty firm with capabilities in media relations, reputation management, referral marketing, public affairs and digital content and social marketing.”

Business has been brisk, according to Simon. SPRYTE Communications specializes in healthcare and industries touched by healthcare, including provider organizations, pharmaceutical companies, health insurers, healthcare associations, social service agencies, healthcare educators, foundations, health advocacy groups, healthcare law firms and government.

Before establishing her public relations firm in 1990, Simon worked in a multi hospital health system as a line of business marketer and hospital spokesperson. She also worked on healthcare clients at several of Philadelphia’s top agencies. Beyond Simon, the agency’s bench is deep with team members’ healthcare experience.

During its 26-year history, Simon PR served prominent health systems, pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, physician practices and hospice, palliative medicine and homecare providers. Simon PR also worked with shopping centers, global manufacturers, consumer products, national banks and insurance companies, the hospitality industry, arts and culture organizations and museums and attractions. The firm won more than 75 peer-reviewed industry awards.
