Samaritan Center for Grief Support to offer two support groups starting in January

The groups are for adult daughters who have lost their mother and for those who are grieving the love of their life.

The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a division of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, will offer two support groups starting in January: one for adult daughters who have lost their mother, and one of someone grieving the love of their life.

“Support groups can help people come to terms with their loss and begin the healing process,” said Kimberly Rumaker, manager of the Samaritan Center for Grief Support. “We offer specialized groups for people who’ve experienced a similar type of loss, helping them feel more supported and less alone.”

Samaritan grief counselors will facilitate the groups, which run through March.

Each group is eight sessions and costs $40. Registration is required, and those interested can call (800) 596–8550.

More information about the two groups is as follows:

· Daughters without Mothers — A group for adult women grieving the loss of a mother. The group will meet at Lutheran Church of Savior in Haddonfield starting Tuesday, Jan. 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

· Grieving the Love of Your Life — For those grieving a spouse or partner’s loss.The group will meet at The Samaritan Center for Grief Support in Marlton starting Monday, Jan. 23 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Each group will meet for eight sessions for a cost of $40. Registration is required and those interested can call (800) 596–8550
