Moorestown BOE holds 2016 reorganization

Moorestown Board of Education unanimously nominated and elected Kathy Goldenberg to serve as president.

Kathy Goldenberg will continue to serve as the Moorestown Board of Education president, with Brandon Pugh serving again as vice president for 2017.

At last week’s BOE reorganization meeting, an Oath of Office was administered to members-elect Goldenberg, Sandra Alberti and Maurice Weeks by the board secretary. The meeting also included the selections of officers.

“Our Moorestown public school district is exceptional, not only in Burlington County or within the state of New Jersey, but nation-wide,” Goldenberg said. “I am honored to have the privilege of serving on our Board of Education since April of 2007, and on board leadership positions since 2011.”

Also at the reorganization meeting, four appointments were made effective 2017. These appointments included Joanne D’Angelo as board secretary and qualified purchasing agent, Gregory McCarty as pest management coordinator, Thomas Merchel as the treasurer of school monies and Gail Reicheg as affirmative action officer until July 1, at retirement.

The board additionally carried out routine matters of reorganization, and professional services appointed were as follows:

• Garrison Architects as architect of record

• Holman Frenia Allison PC as auditor

• Comegno Law Group, PC as legal services

• Thomas J. Gosse as conflict counsel

• Lance Group Employee Benefit Specialists as insurance broker of record
