Voorhees Middle School student wins first place in national math competition

In addition, Vikram Meyyappan scored within the top one percent nationally.

On Nov. 15, Voorhees Middle School student Vikram Meyyappan took first place and scored within the top one percent nationally in the annual Mathematical Association of America’s, American Mathematics Competitions 8 (AMC 8). Student Dhairya Desai came in second place and scored within the top 5% nationally, and students Dhruv K. Patel and Sathvick Talanki tied for third place. 83 students from the Voorhees Township School District participated in the competition.
