Former MHS football standout to play in Division III Senior Classic

The game will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Former Moorestown High School football standout, Jake Dever, will wrap up his collegiate career at NCAA Division III King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Penn. on Saturday, Dec. 17 when he plays in the 2016 Division III Senior Classic at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Kickoff is slated for 12:30 p.m.

Dever, a 6-foot-3, 275 pound offensive lineman, was a key member of a the King’s College Monarch squad which finished the 2016 season with a 5–5 overall record and a 5–4 mark in the highly-regarded Middle Atlantic Conference.

Dever, a left tackle, helped the Monarchs lead the Middle-Atlantic Conference in total offense for the first time in program history with 414.8 yards per-game. Dever started 28 of the 35 games he played in during his career with the Monarchs and proved his versatility by playing virtually every position up front for the Monarchs.

Dever will graduate from King’s with a degree in criminal justice. He is the son of Jay and Carole “Cricket” Dever of Moorestown.
