Controlled dangerous substance and handgun arrest made on Route 130 South

The arrest was made on Dec. 1 at 2:26 p.m.

On Dec. 1 at 2:26 p.m., Cinnaminson Police Officer Mark Berardis stopped a motor vehicle on Route 130 South by Riverton Road for a motor vehicle violation. When he approached the vehicle, Berardis smelled marijuana. The occupants were asked to step out of the vehicle and Berardis conducted a search of the vehicle.

Berardis located suspected marijuana, crack cocaine, and paraphernalia consistent with the packaging and sale of controlled dangerous substances. A fully-loaded handgun was also located under the front seat.

Jamar Funches, 28, from the 100 block of Elm Street in Edgewater Park, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Possession of a Weapon by Certain Persons, Possession of CDS, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Funches bail was set at $75,000 full, and he was lodged in Burlington County Jail.
